Description/design

Submersible sewage pump as submersible monobloc unit for stationary and portable wet well installation.

Hydraulics

The outlet on the pressure side is designed as horizontal flange connection. The maximum possible dry matter content is 8%, depending on the hydraulics and impeller type.

The following impeller shapes are used:

  • Vortex impeller (W)
  • Single-channel impeller (E)

Each single-channel hydraulic system (E) is equipped with a counter ring and stationary wear ring made of hardened material (except for FA 08.41E). These ensure the consistently high efficiency of the unit for a long duration.

Motor

Dry motors (T motors) give off their heat directly to the surrounding fluid via the housing components and can be used in immersed state for permanent operation. Depending on the size, they can also be used in non-immersed state for short-term operation.

All motors have a sealing chamber that protects the motor from fluid ingress. It can be accessed from the outside and can be monitored with an optional sealing chamber electrode.

All filling fluids used are potentially biodegradable and environmentally safe.

The cable inlet of the dry motors is longitudinally watertight. The cable length is 10 m.

Sealing

Fluid-side and motor-side sealing is possible in the following versions depending on the motor type:

  • Version H: Mechanical seal for the fluid side, rotary shaft seal for the motor side
  • Version G: Two independently operating mechanical seals

Application

Sewage lifting unit for drainage of residential housing and commercial buildings (e.g. restaurants, department stores, etc.). Raw sewage that cannot be piped to the sewer system through the use of natural inclines and sewage from toilet systems below the backflow level are to be piped to the public sewer system by means of an automatic lifting unit in accordance with DIN EN 12056/DIN 1986-100. Sewage containing mineral oils or explosive admixtures must be guided through oil precipitators and/or petrol precipitators; those containing fatty substances must go through grease traps and those with sand through sand catchers. In cases where the flow to the lifting unit must not be interrupted during normal operation, one lifting unit must be equipped with a second pumping unit that has the same performance capacity and switches on automatically when needed (DIN EN 12050-1 A1).

Description/design

Fully submersible sewage lifting unit, ready for connection (flooding height: 2 mWS, overflow time: 7 days) with a collection tank that is impermeable to gas and water and that is equipped with buoyancy safeguards. Centrifugal pump with vortex impeller.

DrainLift XL2:

Double-pump system for automatic operation (with automatic duty cycling, standby and peak-load operation). Due to the integrated double non-return valve, only one pressure pipe connection is required. Switchgear with CEE plug, potential-free contact, integrated alarm. Pumps with integrated sheath current cooling.

Attention: The switchgear is not submersible and must therefore be arranged in such a way that it is overflow-proof.

Automatic condensate lifting unit

Application
The condensate lifting unit is used if disposal is not possible through the use of natural inclines, or if the installation location is below the backflow level. It is designed for installation in condensing boilers that generate aggressive condensate according to the specifications of worksheet A 251 as distributed by the ATV (German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste). Because of the materials used in the manufacture of the system, condensate with a pH value of up to ≥ 2.4 can be conveyed without any problems. For oil-fired or gas-fired boilers with an output > 200 kW, the lifting unit must be installed downstream from a neutralisation system. The condensate lifting unit can also be used in air-conditioning and cooling systems where condensate is produced, for example refrigerators and freezers, evaporators, and refrigerated display cases.

Description/design

2 intakes in the cover (Ø 19/30 mm) for condensate feed into the tank (1.2 l capacity). Ø10 mm hose connection on the pressure side with integrated non-return valve. The system can be installed in an upright position or wall-mounted using two fixation holes. The system starts and stops according to the signal of the integrated non-return valve; the alarm is triggered if the tank becomes full.

Description/design

  • Connection-ready water-supply unit, mounted on base frame made of 1.4301 stainless steel including vibration absorber, complete pipework made of 1.4571 stainless steel, including all necessary fittings and check valves (except for inlet-side check valve) made of red brass/brass, pressure control kit, stainless steel glandless high-pressure multistage centrifugal pump (MVIS) and ER-1 switchgear, mounted, wired and ready for connection; Trip electronics in switchgear for low-water protection.
  • Diaphragm pressure vessel: 8 l/PN 16 located on the discharge side with a butyl rubber diaphragm, completely safe in accordance with food safety laws; complete with Ni-coated CuZn shut-off ball cock for tests and inspections, with drain and throughflow fitting in accordance with DIN 4807
  • Control device: the system is standard-equipped with an ER-1 Economy Controller

Description/design

  • Ready-to-connect water-supply unit with 2 to 4 water-supply pumps as compact module for commercial and industrial rainwater utilisation
  • For fully automatic supply with rainwater from ground reservoir or rainwater storage tank using submersible pumps as feeding pumps
  • Depending on the pump dimensioning, greater distances between the system and rainwater storage tank can be bridged over with this hybrid system (see also Wilo submersible pumps, Wilo-Drain series)
  • High-volume hybrid tank with all integrated functions offers needs-based replenishment of potable water in the consumer network when rainwater storage tanks are not full.
  • Fully-electronic control unit for controlling the water supply and cistern pump, equipped with main switch, control switch for each pump with Manual-0-Automatic function and display of the operating status operation/fault for each pump as well as low-water display
  • Depending on the pressure, pumps are switched on/off in cascade according to water demand.
  • Diaphragm pressure vessel for energy savings in the event of smallest leakages in buildings
  • Steady system control by means of cyclical pump cycling and integrated test run on idle pumps.
  • Automatic fault-actuated switchover and peak-load cut-in guarantee maximum system availability.
  • In the event of low water, the system is switched off by built-in dry-running protection
  • including integrated electronic motor protection
  • Switchgear outputs extensive signals; it also has additional potential-free contacts for collective run and fault signals
  • System is ideally suited for connection to the building management system (BMS/DDC)
