Grundfos SEG – Grinder Pumps



Grundfos grinder pumps (SEG) are specifically designed for areas with no sewer systems or areas where gravitation systems are unsuitable.

grundfos_seg_modularThe high discharge pressure enables transfer of effluents and sewage over longer distances to the public sewer or sewage treatment plant.


The SEG range comprises models for single-phase or three-phase voltage supply. All types are designed for voltage tolerances of –10%/+6%.

Pumped liquid

The SEG pumps are suitable for pumping domestic sewage and other liquids with a pH value of 4 to 10 in permanent installations. The SEG pumps are designed for fully submerged continuous operation or partly submerged intermittent operation with a maximum of 20 starts per hour.
In order to protect the grinder system, the pumped liquid must be free from mechanically wearing particles or abrasives such as sand or gravel.


Maximum temperature of pumped liquid: 40°C.
For short periods, maximum one hour, up to 60°C is permissible (non-Ex versions only).
Ambient temperature limitations: 40°C
Maximum submersion: 20 m

Grundfos-NB, NBG, NBE, NBGE



Grundfos-NBGrundfos end-suction pumps are used in water supply, industrial pressure boosting, industrial liquid transfer, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning), and irrigation.
Grundfos end-suction pumps are multi-purpose pumps suitable for a variety of different applications requiring reliable and cost-efficient supply. End-suction pumps are used in five main areas of application: water supply, industrial pressure boosting, industrial liquid transfer, HVAC and irrigation.

The Grundfos NB/NBG pumps are all non-self-priming, single-stage, centrifugal volute pumps with axial suction port, radial discharge port and horizontal shaft. The NB/NBG range consists of close-coupled pumps with their main dimensions in accordance with either EN733 or ISO2858.


Grundfos-NBEGrundfos offers a virtually limitless range of close coupled (NB) end-suction pumps. Their sturdiness and reliability make them ideal for use in demanding environments such as the following:

Grundfos vertical in-line volute pumps are used in a number of applications including air conditioning and heating. The pumps are all single-stage, in-line centrifugal volute pumps with standard motors and mechanical shaft seals.

The pumps are close-coupled, meaning that the pump and motor are separate units. Consequently, the pumps are less sensitive to impurities in the pumped liquid compared to similar canned rotor pumps.

Grundfos-Digital dosing-DME



Grundfos DME Digital Dosing pumps combine perfect precision with user-friendliness, covering large dosing quantities in the range from 60 l/h to 940 l/h with few variants.

Digital Dosing

The use of stepper motor/EC drives optimizes control of the stroke speed and makes it extremely accurate. The duration of each pressure stroke varies according to the flow setting. The suction stroke time always remains constant but can be lengthened using the anti-cavitation function and thus adapted to the relevant needs. This way suction always takes place with the full stroke volume. This results in continuous dosing and lower pulsation in the dosing system – important factors in ensuring smooth pumping of outgassing media and in installations requiring longer suction lines.

The DME pump range has all the benefits of the highly acclaimed smaller Digital Dosing range, making accurate dosing easier than ever.

Precise and easy setting

The operator can easily install and set the pump to discharge exactly the quantity of dosing liquid required in the application. In the display, the setting of the pump is read out directly in ml/h or l/h, pulse or batch. The operation mode is easily identified by means of icons.

Turndown ratio 1:800

With a turndown ratio ten times better than that of traditional equipment, the DME Digital Dosing pumps offer maximum flexibility and accuracy.

Turndown of the suction stroke to 75 %, 50 % or 25 % of the maximum speed ensures optimal priming and displacement of even the most difficult liquids.

Unique technology

A unique drive technology and microprocessor control make sure that liquids are dosed precisely and with low pulsation, even when the pump is operating with high viscosity or degassing liquids. Instead of the conventional stroke length adjustment, the capacity of the DME is regulated by automatic adjustment of the motor speed during the discharge stroke, and by fixed suction stroke speed. This guarantees optimal and uniform mixing.


Fieldbus communication

Available with Profibus interface to supply performance data and status information for quality control, preventive maintenance and future reference.

Overload protection

Built-in overload protection monitors the counter-pressure of the pump and protects it against too high pressure loads.

Switch-mode power supply

The switch-mode power supply makes sure that Grundfos DME Digital Dosing pumps can be used worldwide within the 100-240 VAC – 50/60 Hz range.

Grundfos-DWK Dewatering and drainage pump applications





DWK and DPK are submersible pumps designed for dewatering and drainage applications. The cast-iron construction and the hydraulic design contribute durability and high efficiency. The differences between the DWK and DPK pump ranges lie in the discharge arrangement and the installation type. The DWK is designed with a top discharge pipe and suction strainer, and is thus more suitable for temporary installation, whereas the DPK has a side discharge and a ring-stand or auto coupling (as accessories), and is suitable for permanent installations.

The pump basically consists of a series of interchangeable modules, all of which have been designed to work together seamlessly, no matter the application.

Grundfos end-suction pumps are multi-purpose pumps suitable for a variety of different applications demanding reliable and cost-efficient supply. End-suction pumps are used in five main fields of applications: Water supply, industrial pressure boosting, industrial liquid transfer, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning), and irrigation.

NKE/NKGE pumps are long-coupled pumps equipped with a motor with built-in frequency converter and the necessary application software to achieve an all-in-one solution enabling electronic speed control. Electronic speed control enables continuously variable control of motor speed which again enables adaptation of the performance to a given requirement.

The NKE pump lives up to the EN733 standard and the NKGE pumps lives up to the ISO2858 standard. The range for motors with built-in frequency converter goes up to 22 kW.

Although NBE/NBGE pumps are more compact and therefore fit into confined spaces, the NKE/NKGE end-suction pumps with a spacer coupling are easier to service.

Grundfos Hydro Multi-E - Booster set

Hydro multi-EHydro Multi-E is an innovative pressure booster system specially designed for building service applications.

As standard, Hydro Multi-E booster sets consist of two to four identical CRE pumps connected in parallel and mounted on a common base frame provided with a control cabinet and all the necessary fittings.

The control of the booster set builds on the master and slave principal where one pump is the master pump and where the other pumps act as slaves.
Hydro Multi-E booster sets are supplied as complete, pre-assembled and thoroughly tested booster sets, ready to install. The set point is easily adjusted via the Grundfos R100 remote control or from the control panel. The advanced control takes care of other adjustments to maintain constant pressure and optimum comfort.
