Grundfos-DPK are Submersible pumps for dewatering and draining applications

 

Overview

Grundfos-DPK-ModularGrundfos DWK and DPK are submersible pumps designed for dewatering and drainage applications. The cast-iron construction and the hydraulic design contribute durability and high efficiency.

The differences between the DWK and DPK pump ranges lie in the discharge arrangement and the installation type.

The DWK is designed with a top discharge pipe and suction strainer, and is thus more suitable for temporary installation, whereas the DPK has a side discharge and a ring-stand or auto coupling (as accessories), and is suitable for permanent installations.

 

 

 

 

General description

To ensure reliable and optimum operation, Grundfos
drainage pumps, type DPK, are designed with two
types of impeller:
• 0.75 – 15 kW models have semi-open impeller
• 19 and 22 kW models have closed impeller.
DPK pumps are used for removal of surface and
underground water in small and medium systems

 

Applications

DWK/DPK are excellent pumps for dewatering and draining applications. The combination of compact design with high-pressure capability makes the pumps suitable for use in pits, whether for temporary or fixed installation. The installation design options provide the flexibility needed to cover many needs. Applications include:

  • Construction sites
  • Excavations
  • Tunnels
  • Fish ponds
  • Drainage pits.

 

Operating conditions

The DPK pump range is suitable for two operating
modes:
• continuous, submerged operation, S1, with min.
liquid level above the pump
• intermittent operation, S3, with the pump partly
submerged.

pH value
DPK pumps in permanent installations can cope with
pH values ranging from 4 to 10.

Liquid temperature
0 °C to +40 °C.

Tsurumi-LHW Features

Discharge sizes from 2-4 inches and horsepower range from 4-40 hp

Replaceable and adjustable high chrome wear rings provide increased wear resistance.

Built in thermal and amperage protectors prevent motor failure in run-dry or surge conditions.

High pressure dual silicon carbide mechanical seals operate in a separate oil chamber and are capable of withstanding operating depths of 328 feet.

Seal pressure relief ports provide a flow path above the pump casing and allow water release from the pump and away from the shaft. This protects the mechanical seals from excessive pumping pressure or water hammer in high head pumping applications.

Anti-wicking cable entrance and Tsurumi’s exclusive oil lifter for added protection.

Tsurumi - TRN

 

Tsurumi-TRN-cutSubmersible aspirating aerators ranging in size from 1 HP to 50 HP. The TRN is designed for very high oxygen transfer efficiency, to mix and entrained solids with out adding oxygen from an expensive blower installation.

Non-clog impellers.

Horsepower ranges from 1 hp to 50 hp.

Can operate in water depth of 32 feet with supplemental blower.

Powerful stirring and mixing capabilities for convectional circulation.

Compact shape and design.

The open rotor of the Tsurumi TRN series suctions a large volume of water for the motor power through the pump basket. This water is then mixed with air and distributed horizontally in all directions through the channels of the guide ring.

The top of the rotor is hollow and allows the air that has been suctioned in to fill the area aroundthe shaft seal so that it can mix with the water at the rotor.

One consequence of this is that alayer of air is formed separating the shaft seal from the medium and thereby substantially increasing the life of the shaft seal.

Another effect is that the water that is suctioned in is oxygenated with tiny air bubbles, effectively aerating the waste water.

Utilizing 4 pole, 1800 rpm motors and 6 pole, 1200 rpm motors the GSZ Series offers longer wear life on parts due to the slower impeller tip speed. GSZ pumps are the most formidable high volume slurry/dewatering pumps offered today.
