The Donkin Series 218 underground entry fitting is a simple transition fitting to connect PE service pipes into the interior of a building via an underground entry. The fitting provides a steel onward connection to connect to the internal pipework. The PE/Steel connection is done under controlled factory conditions and has been fully type tested to GIS/PL3 Specification. The Split Flange version is available in the larger sizes and is designed with an innovative split flange arrangement to eliminate the need for a welder on site.
